Do you have a great idea but no 3D printer to bring it to life?
We’re inviting amateur designers to create 3D-printable objects that bring practical solutions to everyday household challenges! Choose one of the challenges below and submit your best design! Choose one of the three design challenges below and submit your best design.
Challenge 1: Home product
Design a convenience tool or space-saving hack for the home. Focus on handy gadgets that improve efficiency and solves a minor but common problem. This can include cable or desk organisation, kitchen measuring or storage, wall mounted or collapsible home organisers for plants or objects
Challenge 2: Gaming
Design the ultimate accessory for your gaming needs. Whether it is an add-on for your favourite controller, a custom dice tower or card holder for your tabletop games or even just a stand or storage solution for your gamer’s headset, the possibilities are endless.
Challenge 3: Why doesn’t this Exist yet? Fix
Design a simple but genius object that fixes an everyday frustration - whether it’s keeping doors from slamming, making keychains easier to find, a clip on device to hold your phone or wallet safe in your pocket, or improving how we carry grocery bags.
Participants must submit a 3D model file (.STL) along with a short description of how their design makes life easier. All designs must be optimized for FDM printing—no excessive overhangs, minimal supports, and a focus on easy, reliable printing.
Designs are to submitted to vdc@vca.gov.mt by Monday 5th May at midnight.
