FiftySix Design Talks: Call to the Future

Call to the Future marks the transformation of FiftySix Design Talks into a collaborative design forum. What began as a series of presentations now evolves into a biannual rhythm of inquiry, reflection, and public dialogue.

This November, we gather at the Valletta Design Cluster to open a new chapter. Designers, researchers, makers, policymakers, and citizens are invited to join a collective process where design is not only showcased but questioned, documented, and steered.

Our mission is to move beyond isolated talks and establish cycles of discourse that reinforce Malta’s role as a place where design ideas are conceived, tested, and shared. Each cycle will build continuity, generating reflections that resonate locally while positioning Malta as a hub for research, development, and cultural exchange.

Call to the Future is an invitation to take part in the next stage of design—shaping Malta’s future and extending its influence beyond.
