Studio Sessions - Introduction to Puredata with Dr. Christian Heinrichs
This studio session is a hands-on introduction to Puredata - a visual programming language that can be used to create generative music, interactive sound models, multimedia control systems and more.
Participants will learn the basic principles of dataflow programming, how to create arithmetic functions, process MIDI and generate audio.
Dr Christian Heinrichs, a procedural audio specialist who has been working with Puredata for over 16 years, will be leading the workshop and will also walk through some of the patches he created for infamous web experiences such as the [adult swim] Choir, Stretchy Morty and various other instruments and sound effect models.
Join us for an open studio session and work alongside fellow creatives in a participatory environment to explore an introduction to the realm audiovisual art and design.
Location: Studio 1
Date & Time: 22nd of February between 12pm (noon) and 4pm
This event forms part of the Valletta Design Cluster's Studio sessions programme.
