Studio Sessions - Sustaining Waste in Reverse: A Think Tank on Set Design Materials
This event is linked to sustainable set design and opens up a discussion on the power structures in the permanence of spatial elements for artistic backdrops. This talk is an attempt to initiate a think-tank that invites collective effort to brainstorming universal solutions and collaborative opportunities of alternative materials and perspectives to recycling, upcycling and re-inventing the investment of the material versus the thought behind the backdrop/ design itself.
This is a public event engaging artists, designers and creatives interested in sustainable thinking. In this session, Francesca Mercieca will be offering an active and engaging workshop and a space for discussion.
Join us for an open studio session with Francesca Mercieca. Work alongside fellow creatives in a participatory environment to explore and question methodologies and approaches in set design, adapting to a climate-sensitive design approach.
