This public event on Monday 28 October at 6pm will feature writer-in-residence Ioanna Lioutsia from Greece.
Lioutsia is a PhD researcher in Theatre Studies at the University of the Peloponnese with a background in theatre directing, acting and history & archaeology. She has published several works including Wide Vowels and Bitten Consonants (poetry, 2022), Silence in Two Spaces (poetry, 2019) and Arrythmias (poetry, 2016). Lioutsia has also written the play First We Take Manhattan Then We Take Berlin which was shortlisted by the Berliner Festspiele's competition in 2019, and has also translated other plays into Greek.
A brief Q&A with community members and other participants will be followed by a short reading by the author. The general public is invited to attend and interact with the writer and share a drink and a bite.
Ioanna Lioutsia is benefitting from the Creative Europe project Ulysses' Shelter 3 writer-in-residence programme, of which Inizjamed is a member, supported by the Valletta Design Cluster.
