About the Event:
This April, FiftySix Design Talks is gearing up to take you on a journey through the lanes of design and technology, with a spotlight on how these elements are steering our cities towards more fluid and interconnected modes of movement. Featuring insights from Neil Baldacchino developer the GoNature VR App and Marco Filippi of Volvero, this edition promises to shift gears into how we envision and navigate our urban environments.
Neil Baldacchino will present “GoNature,” a groundbreaking game developed by Darttek. This Android/iOS VR game integrates digital twin technology and environmental data, offering players immersive adventures in their own cities. It promotes environmental stewardship and community engagement through interactive challenges.
GoNature is part of the VARCITIES project, involving seven European Pilot Cities including Castelfranco Veneto, Chania, Dundalk, Gzira, Leuven, Novo mesto, and Skellefteå. These cities are pioneering sustainable urban initiatives, with GoNature at the heart of this transformation, blending gaming with real-world impact. Join us to see how GoNature is shaping the future of urban living.
Filippi’s narrative will trace Volvero’s journey from a mere concept to becoming a transformative force in the transportation sector. Emphasizing the app’s efficiency in vehicle sharing and its commitment to an eco-friendly future, Filippi’s talk will challenge attendees to think differently about the road ahead for urban mobility.
Connect & Inspire:
