Studio Sessions - Work With Us: Highlights from the Magna Zmien Collection
The archive, initially reserved to people from the upper echelons of society, has now transformed itself into a practice that challenges these kinds of narratives in the 21st century. The archive has become an exercise to look back into the histories of people from all walks of life, and essentially become a community project that aims to traverse all walks of life.
In this talk, Magna Żmien, a small archive dedicated to saving and digitising Maltese memories, presents an overview of some of the major projects that it has been working on in the past year, including projects with Maltese communities overseas, new material sourced from private collections and how you can get involved in our projects. During this informal talk, Magna Żmien will also be previewing some of the more interesting material from the archive.
This talk will be presented by Magna Żmien Team Members Andrew Alamango (Co-Founder & Artistic Director), Andrew Pace (Co-Founder & Head Archivist) and Kris Polidano (Researcher & Communications Manager).
